Howdy, y’all! Snow is falling, Ordinary Time in the Catholic Church has come to a close, and our apartment is 64 degrees without air conditioning – the Christmas season is upon us!
Jesus is the true reason for the season, and the pressure to spend thousands on the fanciest and trendiest gifts can be so overwhelming – that’s not at all what Christmas is about, so please don’t feel the need to go out and buy everything on these lists! Some of the most special parts of the holiday season are intangible – spending time with family, building traditions, making memories, and sharing Christ’s love with one another.
Jesus is the greatest gift of all – remember that when you’re feeling stressed about shopping, prices, deadlines, etc.
Gifting is one of my main love languages and as such, I really enjoy the process of shopping for gifts that will bring a smile to my loved ones’ faces or fulfill a need that they haven’t fulfilled themselves. However, I know not everyone is the same! Some people (like my mom) absolutely hate shopping and have a hard time coming up with ideas – if that’s you, I hope this post helps provide some comforting guidance!
With carefully curated lists of things I own and love, as well as things I’ve had my eye on or know my friends and family would enjoy, this post was created to help ease your shopping stress, make gift-giving more personal, and give you great ideas for everyone on your list this holiday season.
Merry Christmas and happy shopping!
