Happy New Year y’all! Being home this holiday season has been so much fun, and I’ve been purchasing and trying out all kinds of new things these past couple of weeks! I’ve definitely spent way too much time at Crate & Barrel and the mall recently, so today I thought I’d share a few things that I’ve been loving as of late!
I also think this will be a fun little tradition to start here on the blog, so y’all can expect a new “Friday Favorites” post about once every two weeks!
Today’s list is a a bit of a random assortment, from a great book I’ve been reading to a new kitchen tool I received for Christmas…so without further adieu, let’s get into the full lineup!

New Agenda
I used flagship Day Designers all throughout high school and my freshman year of college, but this past semester I fell into the habit of just using the notes app on my phone and Google Calendar to keep my daily tasks and events organized. While going digital can be great for some people, and it’s nice to not have to lug a large agenda around campus, I just don’t think I can do it again this year! There’s just something about a paper agenda that keeps me motivated and makes me feel so much more productive throughout the day. So, I decided to pick up this pink Day Designer at Office Depot last week, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! It wasn’t the usual $59 (+$14.50 in shipping) that I’m used to paying for Day Designers, and the only difference is that it’s not a hard cover! So, if you’re in the market for a new agenda this year, I highly recommend this one!
Pink Loft Sweater
I was a little hesitant about this sweater when I first ordered it online, but oh my word y’all…I fell in love with it after I tried it on! I’m a huge fan of blush pink, and while it’s more of a bubblegum color, it’s so flattering on. The knit is also really soft, and it’s not itchy at all! I can’t tell y’all how many cute sweaters I’ve had to return because of my sensitivity to wool and alpaca, but this one is definitely a winner! (I just wish it came in more colors!)
Keurig Milk Frother
I have a Keurig K-Elite back at school that I use for making my lattes in the morning, and I’ve been wanting a milk frother to go along with it for such a long time. Before, I’d just brew my tea, pour cold almond milk into my travel mug, and head out the door. But now, since my parents were kind enough to buy me a milk frother for Christmas, I can heat and froth my almond milk beforehand, which is such a game changer! It makes the latte so much creamier, and adds the nice foam that I miss from my Starbucks drinks! This one is nice too, because it’s really quiet (my actual Keurig is so. loud.) and it only takes a minute or two to finish frothing, which is great when you’re in a rush!
The Meaning of Marriage
The Meaning of Marriage by Tim Keller has been recommended to me by so many great Christians, and I decided to finally pick it up back in November. Unfortunately, with my class schedule and finals, it just sat on my shelf for the remainder of the semester. But, now that I’ve been on break for a couple of weeks, I’ve had a chance to really dive into the book, and y’all…it is so good. Whether you’re single, dating, engaged, or already married, this book is filled with so much wisdom and practical advice that will prepare your heart for marriage, give you a better understanding of what marriage really is, and help you to love your partner the way God intended. Definitely a must-read!
Origins Cleanser
I’ve heard a lot about the Origins Checks & Balances face wash, but I didn’t decide to try it out until mid-December. It was touted as a cleanser that could balance out your skin and control oil without drying out your face, and honestly, I thought was too good to be true. Boy have I been missing out! In the short couple of weeks that I’ve been using it, this cleanser has made my skin feel almost normal. I generally get really oily in my T-zone throughout the day, but my skin has been so much more balanced recently, and I haven’t been using anywhere near as many blotting sheets as usual!
That’s all for today, friends! If you enjoyed this format, let me know in the comments below, and I’ll be sure to do more weekly roundups like this! In the meantime, I have to run a few last-minute errands and start packing for a little weekend trip I’m taking to Corpus Christi with my family! I hope y’all have a great weekend!
