Happy Friday, y’all! Today I wanted to share a few things that I’ve been eyeing lately. The weather has been all over the place here in Indy, and these random 50-60 degree days have me dreaming of spring and summer!
I’ve also recently developed a little color crush on Kelly green and emerald, as you can probably tell from this post. Before December, I didn’t have a single green article of clothing in my closet (surprising, considering I went to Notre Dame), but I ended up purchasing a few holiday dresses in emerald and I love them! I definitely want to expand the fun colors in my wardrobe beyond Carolina blue and blush pink, so I’ll be keeping my eye out for some green pieces to add to my collection over the next few seasons!
I also haven’t purchased a new pair of shoes in a long time. I love my go-to shoes, and they’ve lasted me a long time, but I’ve been wanting to switch it up a bit recently with some new additions – especially in the sandal and wedge department. My platinum Jack Rogers are tried and true, but they’re pretty much the only shoe I wear in the summer. You know what they say – variety is the spice of life!
Here’s what I’ve been looking at:
LAKE patio dress in ‘sky’ // PINK CITY PRINTS blue mini dress // KASIA green mini dress // HYACINTH HOUSE green maxi dress // CASTAÑER carina espadrilles // VEJA campo sneakers // NICOLA BATHIE emerald studs // LISI LERCH carolyn pearl studs // MARQUIS sparkle vase // BARRINGTON st. anne tote in ‘axis’
So many fun pieces! I’ve been wearing dresses a lot more recently, and I’d like to have a few more colorful options to choose from. I have plenty of little white dresses from my engagement season, but it would be nice to have some pieces that are a little less bridal, too. I love that all four of the dresses above can be dressed up or down with accessories (I’m a big fan of versatility!), and they all look very comfortable (I tend to veer away from anything too form-fitting).
Two pairs of earrings recently caught my eye as well. I tend to prefer small statement earrings to large and dangly pieces, and both of these fit the bill! Aside from my usual pearl studs, the Olive & Piper ‘Bordeaux’ earrings that I wore on my wedding day were probably my most-worn earrings last year. They just add a little something extra to a simple outfit without being too loud or clunky. I think the pearl earrings from Lisi Lerch and emerald studs from Nicola Bathie would do the same!
I’m also really tempted to purchase this Waterford Marquis ‘Sparkle’ vase. We have plenty of crystal around our home already (I just love the way crystal sparkles in the light!), but I think this would be the perfect addition to the entryway table/dining buffet that my husband and I just refinished!
